Since we just got back from Steamboat and we have renovated the Condo we thought we should show off a few pictures of the new place. Let's start with a few pictures of the exterior.
The best picture showing the complex from Rockies Way.
This one is from the top of the hill. The center section is the entrance to the pool and our unit. Our unit is on the ground floor and only 10 stairs from the parking lot level.
This is a view of Emerald Mountian taken from the pool. It is also the view from our patio, living room, guest bedroom and Master Bedroom.
Throughout the next few weeks we will post various pictures of the Condo and all the upgrades we have made.
The Rockies Condominiums in Steamboat Springs Colorado are perfectly located with easy access to the Gondola and offer daytime bus service and nighttime shuttle. Come check us out!

Travel Tip 4 - What to do when you get here?
What to do when you get to Steamboat?
We will have to spread this topic over several blogs. The most obvious divide is summer versus winter. Since we still have a couple of months of summer left lets start with the Summer Activities.
The most obvious source of activities in Steamboat will allways be Steamboat Resorts. As with the winter activities, the Steamboat Resort offers many summer thrills.
Rafting
Gondola Rides
Hot Air Balloons
Alpine Slide
Horse Back Riding
Mountain
Biking
These are just a few of the activities they offer. Steamboat Resorts web site www.steamboat.com is a great place to start.

Hot Springs
Steamboat enjoys the benefit of two beautiful but drastically different Hot Springs. Pictured above is Old Town Hot Springs. Located at 136 Lincoln Ave, Old Town has it's own stop on SST Bus Route. Old Town has two outdoor hot spring mineral pools, two Water Slides for the kids, a 25 yard lap pool and a fitness center. For more info check out their website at http://www.oldtownhotsprings.org/
For a totally different experience, you should consider Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Strawberry Park is about a 30 minute ride out of town but you will need to schedule a shuttle to get there. During the winter season you will need a four wheel drive vehicle or a two wheel drive vehicle with chains. Strawberry Park is very secluded and offers several pools of varying temperature. If you go at night you will need to bring a flashlight. The views are incredible, the stars look like they are so close you can reach out and touch them. For more info check out their website at http://www.strawberryhotsprings.com/2005/
